Editing JDM Event
When you edit any JDM event, it can result in overscheduling or underscheduling of the work orders depending on whether the work order remains fully scheduled. You can take further action by updating the work order for overscheduling and by creating additional schedules for underscheduling.
You can edit an existing event by launching the event edit window as follows:
Double-click the event in the Gantt.
OR
Drag the event in the Gantt to the required technician and/or date time.
This window has the same features as their respective new event window (basic/advanced), except for the following:
Defaults are not applied.
In the Scheduling tab:
The following checkbox is displayed only when you drag the event to a different technician:
Update primary technician (currently:<technician name>) and Delete events for other technicians
The Options tab is disabled.
If your edit of LJS event results in overscheduling a work order, the following message is displayed:
Work order overscheduled. To fix this, increase the Scope Change / Variance or decrease the Service Duration by overscheduled duration. (no. of hours)
For more information, see Overschedule.
If your edit of LJS event results in underscheduling a work order, the following message is displayed:
Your update to this event has caused the associated Work Order to be underscheduled. Do you want to list this Work Order as the only Work Order in the grid and show all its in Project View?
For more information, see Underschedule.
It is not possible to modify the Long Job Scheduling options from the Edit Eent window.
