Adding Wizard Step for a Wizard
Wizard Steps are a list of steps that the end-user needs to execute as part of the business process or a Wizard. Each wizard can have one or more steps. The admin can select an already configured process as a step or create a missing step and add it to the wizard.
To add a wizard step to a wizard:
1. Click the Wizard for which you want to add a wizard step.
2. Click the + icon at the end of the Wizard. The Choose Step Type pop-up window is displayed.
3. Choose from the various types of transactions and click Next. The available options are SFM, Inventory, Output Document, Others, and Checklist. The Step Properties pop-up window is displayed. The options available are limited to the types of processes already configured for the selected object. For instance, Inventory is listed for an object only if there is an inventory process defined for that object as the parent object. SFM is listed only if there is an SFM transaction of type source to target all.
4. Enter details in the fields as described in the following table and click Apply

Select SFM (create a sub topic with tasks)
Select the process associated with the wizard step from the Select SFM lookup search results. On selection, Step ID, Title, and Description are auto-populated with the corresponding values from the selected process.
Click Refresh to refresh the list of SFMs.
Click New to open the SFM Transaction List page. On the SFM Transaction List page, click New SFM Transaction to create a new SFM.
Criteria To Enable This Step
Select the criteria that a record must match for the wizard button (or Actions menu item in mobile apps) to be enabled.
If a record does not match the criteria, the wizard button (or Actions menu item) is disabled. If this field is blank, the wizard step is always enabled. Wizard step criteria can be newly created/edited/selected, similar to the wizard criteria.
Title
Edit the auto-populated value if required, for instance, to shorten the value.
This value is displayed as the SFM Wizard button label in the browser and Mobile For Laptops and as an Actions menu item in all the other ServiceMax mobile apps.
Description
Enter a detailed description of the wizard step or edit the auto-populated value, if any.
This value is shown by hovering over the wizard button in the browser. If this is blank, the wizard step title is displayed on hover.
Hover text to show on disabled step
Enter the text to be displayed on the disabled step.
Tooltip help
Enter any tooltip to help content be displayed by hovering over the i icon.
Confirmation Message
If you want the process associated with the wizard step to be invoked by the SFM Delivery engine only on user confirmation, enter the confirmation message to be displayed.
This message is displayed to the user in the SFM Wizard Delivery screen when the user clicks the wizard step button. The associated process is executed only if the user confirms.
Icon Name - Overrides default
Select an icon for the wizard step from the Select Icon lookup search results and click Apply.
Handover
Select this check box if the Wizard Delivery engine should automatically invoke the next wizard step as per the sequence defined after the process associated with the current wizard step is executed successfully.
This attribute is available only if the current wizard step type is SFM. This is supported in-browser only and not in any mobile app in the ServiceMax suite.
Display Record on Save
This property allows the admin to redirect the user to the source record on new record creation using the SFM. By doing this, the user can continue with the usual business flow and avoid performing additional searches and clicks to return to the source record.
The following options are available:
None: This is the default value for this property. When this option is selected, the existing behavior continues which is to redirect the user to the target record.
Source Parent Record: When this option is selected the user is redirected to the source record.
Target Parent Record: When this option is selected the user is redirected to the target record.
This property is supported for SFM of types Source to Target All and Standalone Create only.
For example, consider an SFM of type source to target all to Create a Work Order from Case. Here the Work Order is the target object and the Case is the source object. Now, according to the default behavior, after the Work Order record is created from Case the user is redirected to the Work Order record. But if the Display Record on Save is set as Source Parent Record, then after the Work Order record is created from Case the user is redirected to the Case record.
Handover On Target Record - Select Wizard
This field is displayed only if the Handover checkbox field is enabled and the Display Record on Save field is set to Target Parent Record.
This field allows the admin to choose a wizard on the target record on which handover must be carried out once the current wizard step is executed successfully.
This property is supported for SFM of types Source to Target All and Standalone Create only.
For example, consider an SFM of type source to target all to Create a Work Order from Case. Here the Work Order is the target object and the Case is the source object. The Handover On Target Record - Select Wizard field lists all the wizards available for the Work Order object.
Select Wizard Step

This field is displayed only if the Handover checkbox field is enabled the Display Record on Save field is set to Target Parent Record and wizard is selected in the field Handover On Target Record - Select Wizard.
This field allows the admin to choose a wizard step associated with the Wizard selected in the Handover on Target Record - Select Wizard field. The Wizard Delivery engine automatically invokes the selected wizard step after the process associated with the current wizard step is executed successfully.

When the Display Record On Save is set to Source Record and the Handover checkbox is enabled, then the next wizard step is executed in sequence on the source record.
This property is supported for SFM of types Source to Target All and Standalone Create only.
Select Template at Runtime
If you have selected Output Document as the step type, select this checkbox if the Wizard Delivery engine should present the user with the list of all the available and complete SFM transactions of type Output Documents. The user can then dynamically select any output document from this list to generate the report.
When this checkbox is selected for Output Document, then the Title is changed to Default title for output doc and Description is changed to Default desc for output doc.
This is supported in-browser only and not in any mobile app in the ServiceMax suite.

5. After the wizard step is created, you can drag and drop the wizard step to re-order the step sequence.

You can use the Remove option available for each wizard step row to remove the wizard step. The step is removed from the wizard and the properties are deleted.
6. Click Save to save the wizard step sequence.
