Part Setting and Usage
The Part Settings serves as the central control point for managing how Work Plans interact with service parts throughout the entire service lifecycle. It allows you to define rules, automation, and mappings that govern part usage, replacements, inventory reconciliation, and return processes.
By configuring these settings, organizations can ensure technicians receive the correct parts at the right moment, system-generated part lines remain accurate, and installed product records stay up to date when components are replaced or installed.
The feature provides granular control over every part creation, inventory updates, or asset-level changes, ensuring that each transaction is captured reliably, reducing manual intervention, and supporting consistent, trustworthy service execution.
