Campaigns
Plan and execute coordinated service or revenue campaigns to standardize maintenance tasks or drive sales opportunities at scale.
Overview
A Campaign represents a coordinated effort to deliver a set of tasks or offerings; either service-oriented or revenue-focused; targeted toward specific assets, customers, or operational needs. It helps standardize and scale repeatable business processes such as preventive maintenance or upselling opportunities. Campaigns are structured frameworks that allow administrators to group similar work orders or opportunities, automate delivery, and monitor execution and performance efficiently.
Service Campaign is intended for asset maintenance or operational tasks. When selected, it requires details such as Work Order type, Purpose of Visit, Priority, and estimated Duration in Hours. These campaigns help manage recurring services like inspections, part replacements, or corrective actions across multiple assets or customer sites.
Revenue Campaign, on the other hand, is geared toward business development or sales initiatives. It uses Opportunities as the delivery type and focuses on tracking potential revenue-generating activities, such as product upgrades, service renewals, or cross-selling offers. This campaign type simplifies managing targeted sales actions to drive income growth.
Use cases for administrators
Administrators use campaigns to orchestrate large-scale service or revenue activities across the organization. Common scenarios include:
• Preventive Maintenance Rollout: An operations manager creates a Service Campaign targeting all chillers older than five years, automatically generating work orders with the correct priority and estimated duration for each site.
• Bulk Work Order Creation: Instead of creating work orders one by one, an administrator defines campaign criteria to generate hundreds of work orders or opportunities in a single action.
• Performance Monitoring: After launching a campaign, administrators track completion rates, average resolution times, and revenue impact from the campaign dashboard to evaluate effectiveness.
• Resource Planning: By setting estimated duration and priority on each campaign work order, administrators help dispatchers allocate field technicians efficiently across regions.
• Sales Program Management: A sales operations lead creates a Revenue Campaign for a limited-time upgrade offer, targeting accounts whose service contracts are up for renewal.
Use cases for end users
Field technicians and sales representatives interact with campaigns through assigned work orders and opportunities. Common scenarios include:
• Service Execution: A technician receives a campaign-generated work order with clear purpose-of-visit instructions, priority level, and estimated duration, enabling efficient on-site service.
• Job Instructions: Detailed service steps attached to campaign work orders guide technicians through standardized procedures.
• Sales Follow-up: A sales representative views Revenue Campaign opportunities linked to specific customer accounts and follows up on upgrade or renewal offers.
• Daily Task Planning: End users review their assigned campaign activities to plan their daily schedule, with visibility into upcoming and overdue items.
• Execution Feedback: After completing a campaign task, users update status and add notes, providing administrators with real-time data for reporting.
