Overview
The Work Order page in PTC Orbit provides you with a structured view of all work orders related to asset maintenance and service activities. It allows you to track, filter, and manage work orders based on priority, asset type, description, status, assigned technician, and scheduled time. You can apply predefined Admin Presets to quickly view specific work orders, such as completed tasks or unscheduled jobs. This page is essential for maintenance teams, enabling them to efficiently monitor ongoing and past service requests, assign technicians, and ensure timely execution of tasks. For example, a maintenance manager can use this page to track open work orders that require immediate attention or review closed work orders to analyze past service activities. By streamlining work order management, this feature enhances asset reliability, minimizes downtime, and ensures operational efficiency.
How it works
Filter Work Orders:
Use column filters to refine the list based on priority, asset, description, status, technician, or scheduled time.
Apply Admin Presets:
Select predefined views such as Completed Work Orders Over Last 30 Days or Open and Unscheduled Work Orders for quick access to relevant records.
Set a Default View:
Choose an Admin Preset and set it as the default view for easier access to frequently used filters.
Search for Work Orders:
Use the search bar to locate specific work orders by ID, asset name, or technician.
View Work Order Details:
Click the work order record row to open it in detail view.
View Asset Details:
Click the asset link to open the asset detail view.
Modify List View:
Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page to display them in the list view.
Adjust Pagination:
Modify the number of rows displayed per page for better navigation of large datasets.
This page ensures efficient work order tracking and execution, helping teams maintain asset performance and service history with ease.
