Desired effect (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Desired Effect:
From a Capability, Capability Configuration, Enterprise Vision, Function, Logical Architecture, Node, Operational Activity, Organization, Physical Architecture, Post, Project Activity, Project Type, Resource Artifact, Responsibility, Security Domain, Service Access, Software or Standard Operational Activity: right-click the desirer element, point to Links, point to Capability, and then click Desired State. From the Links Editor, select the desired states.
The desired state elements can be Operational Atomic State, Operational Concurrent State, Operational Final State, Operational Sequential State, Operational Submachine State, Resource Atomic State, Resource Concurrent State, Resource Final State, Resource Sequential State or Resource Submachine State elements.
From an Operational Atomic State, Operational Concurrent State, Operational Final State, Operational Sequential State, Operational Submachine State, Resource Atomic State, Resource Concurrent State, Resource Final State, Resource Sequential State or Resource Submachine State: right-click the desired element, point to Links, point to Capability, and then click Desired By. From the Links Editor, select the desirer element.
The desirer elements can be Capability, Capability Configuration, Enterprise Vision, Function, Logical Architecture, Node, Operational Activity, Organization, Physical Architecture, Post, Project Activity, Project Type, Resource Artifact, Responsibility, Security Domain, Service Access, Software or Standard Operational Activity elements.
Appearance
A Desired Effect does not appear on any diagrams.
