Property (UPDM - MODAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Property:
From a Capability, Capability Configuration, Energy, Materiel, Organization, Physical Architecture, Post, Resource Artifact, Role Type, Service Access or Software: right-click the element, point to New, point to MODAF, and then click Property.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the type of the Property, or create an untyped Property.
From an AV-3 Measurement Definition: click the Property toolbar button, and then click the owning Measurement Set or Security Attributes Group.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the type of the Property, or create an untyped Property.
From an OV-4 Typical Organizational Relationships Chart: click the Property toolbar button, and then click the owning Competence, Organization, Post or Role Type.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the type of the Property, or create an untyped Property.
From an SV-1 Resource Definition: click the Property toolbar button, and then click the owning Capability, Capability Configuration, Energy, Materiel, Organization, Physical Architecture, Post, Resource Artifact, Role Type, Service Access or Software element.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the type of the Property, or create an untyped Property.
When you create a Property, you can create or select the type of the Property. The type can be a Climate, Condition, Environment, Geo Political Extent Type, Light Condition, Location Type, Measurement Set, Physical Location or Security Attributes Groupelement.
Appearance
When shown on a valid diagram (see below), a Property appears similar to as follows:
