Creation
To create a Logical Architecture:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to MODAF, point to Operational, and then click Logical Architecture.
From a Logical Architecture: right-click the Logical Architecture, point to New, point to UPDM and then click Logical Architecture.
From an OV-2 Operational Node Definition or OV-5 Operational Activity Hierarchy: click the Logical Architecture toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram.
Appearance
When shown on an OV-2 Operational Node Definition or OV-5 Operational Activity Hierarchy, a Logical Architecture appears as follows:
On an OV-2 Operational Node Definition or OV-5 Operational Activity Hierarchy you can use Note Links to link a Logical Architecture to the Service Policy elements that apply to that Logical Architecture.
When shown on a Logical Architecture owned OV-2 Operational Node Relationship Description, a Logical Architecture appears as follows:
To show the owning Logical Architecture on an OV-2 Operational Node Relationship Description diagram: right-click the background of the diagram, point to Populate, and then click Owner.
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Logical Architecture:
