Appearance
When shown on an SOV-1 Service Taxonomy, SOV-2 Service Interface Specification, SOV-3 Capability to Service Definitionor SOV-5 Service Functionality, a Service Interface appears as follows:
On an SOV-2 Service Interface Specification, create Provided Interfaces and Required Interfaces for Service Interface elements.
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Service Interface:
UML Generalization relationships define inheritance between Service Interface elements.
Expose relationships link a Service Interface to Capability elements that are exposed by the Service Interface.
Is Capable Of Performing relationships link a Service Interface to Service Function elements that the Service Interface can perform.
Service Policy elements can be applied to a Service Interface.
Used as a type for Request, Service and Service Role elements.
The following sections provide information about how a Service Interface is used in the model.
