An Atomic State (Operational) is a proprietary element that is required to model UPDM in Modeler.
Creation
To create an Atomic State (Operational):
• From a
State Description (Operational): right-click the State Description (Operational), point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Atomic State (Operational).
The following relationships are of importance to an Atomic State (Operational):
• UML Transitions link an Atomic State (Operational) to other State Diagram elements (OV-6b Operational State Transition Description).
• Operation (Operational) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (Operational): right-click the Atomic State (Operational), point to Links, and then click Do Node Operation.
• Activity (Operational) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (Operational): right-click the Atomic State (Operational), point to Links, and then click Do Operational Activity.
• State Description (Operational) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (Operational): right-click the Atomic State (Operational), point to Links, and then click Do Operational State Description.
• Standard Activity (Operational) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (Operational): right-click the Atomic State (Operational), point to Links, and then click Do Standard Operational Activity.
