Operation (operational) (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Operation (Operational):
From a Performer (Operational) or Security Domain: right-click the Performer (Operational) or Security Domain, point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Operation (Operational). On the Select Realizes dialog, select the realized Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational).
From an OV-2 Operational Resource Definition: click the Operation (Operational) toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Realizes dialog, select the realized Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational).
From an OV-6c Operational Event-Trace Description:
Click the Operation (Operational) Message toolbar button, in line with the required Statement click the source lifeline, and then click the destination lifeline. The destination lifeline must be a Performer Role or Problem Domain.
Click the Operation (Operational) Reply Message toolbar button, in line with the required Statement click the source lifeline, and then click the destination lifeline. The source lifeline must be a Performer Role or Problem Domain.
When you create an Operation (Operational) message, you are prompted to create or select the Operation (Operational) that represents the Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational) you want to show on the OV-6c Operational Event-Trace Description.

When shown on an OV-2 Operational Resource Definition, an Operation (Operational) appears as follows:
When shown on an OV-6b Operational State Transition Description, an Operation (Operational) appears as a Do Operation (Operational) call:
When shown on an OV-6c Operational Event-Trace Description, an Operation (Operational) appears as an Operation (Operational) message:
