To Insert and Place an Inset
1. Click Home > Insets. The insets gallery opens.
2. Click the inset to insert in the figure.
3. Move the pointer into the figure window. The pointer changes to an inset insertion pointer.
4. Place the pointer at the center of your region of interest. (This will be the center of the focus.)
5. Click and drag to define the leader length and direction.
6. Release the left mouse button to place the focus and inset image. The inset is inserted and the display changes as described below:
In the figure window, the inset appears in the foreground. The focus and inset image are selected and the focus is unlocked.
In the upper data panel, in the View Content pane, the new entry is highlighted.
7. If necessary, you can adjust the position and size of the focus and inset image. (For instructions, see To Move or Resize an Inset.)
8. In the figure window, click a different object or the background. The inset location is set.
