About Annotations
An annotation is a callout, note, or note with leader line created in Creo Illustrate. View and insert annotations in any figure or sequence step in an illustration file. Use annotations to graphically identify and locate items in figures. Annotations can also add design, manufacturing, and service information. Annotations appear in the figure window and in the figure content list, in the View Content pane of the upper data panel.
The annotations you insert in a figure are saved with that figure in the illustration C3DI file.
You can perform the following operations on annotations that you insert in a figure:
Edit
Move
Delete
Hide or show
Customize styles
Apply annotation templates
*
You can customize annotation styles and add custom callouts to the Annotations menu. See Creating Custom Callouts for more information.
