Inserting a Spares Pool in the RBD Spares File

You can insert any number of spares pools in the RBD Spares file.

1. In the last table row in the Spares Pools pane, click < Click here to insert a new record >. The Add Spares Pool window opens.

2. Complete this pane, which has the same three options as in the Spares Pools pane. For more information, see Spares Pools Pane.

3. In each of the lower panes, specify properties for the spares in this spare pool. For more information, see:

◦ Failure Pane

◦ Repair Shop Pane

◦ Maintenance Pane

Once a spares pool is inserted in the RBD Spares file, it can be selected in the Calculation Properties for any System file block. For more information, see Assigning a Spares Pool to a Block.
