Inserting a Prediction Values Definition
You can insert custom environments and quality in Prediction Values Library files. These custom environments and quality levels can then be selected for various model/category/subcategory combinations in the System file.
1. If the Prediction Values Library file is not already open, then create or open it. You create or open this file in the same way as any other file.
2. In the last row in the Prediction Values Definition pane, click < Click here to insert a new record >.
The Add Prediction Values Definition window opens. For more information, see Add Prediction Values Definition Window.
3. Complete this window and click OK to insert the definition.
All but Type can be edited directly in the Prediction Values Definition pane. If the type is wrong, you must delete the record and then insert a new record with the correct type. For more information, see Deleting a Table Row.
When a custom environment is inserted in the Prediction Values Definition pane, a default record appears in the Prediction Values Data pane. In this record, you specify the default Pi E value for all calculation models and part types. While the default Pi E value is 1, you can change it to whatever value you want.
When a custom quality level is inserted in the Prediction values pane, no default record appears in the Prediction Values Data pane. However, for any environment or quality level, you can insert records to specify the Pi E or Pi Q factor to use for various model/category/subcategory combinations. For more information, see Inserting a Prediction Values Data Record.
