Generating a FRACAS Graph
To generate a FRACAS graph, after you run calculations, you start the Graph Wizard and indicate the data to graph. For general information, see Using the Graph Wizard to Generate a Graph.
1. Select Tools > Graph Wizard. The Graph Wizard starts and displays the Load Graph Template page. The option for creating a custom graph is selected by default.
2. Click Next. If the Select Module page appears, select FRACAS and click Next again. The FRACAS Graph Type page appears.
3. Select the type of FRACAS graph to generate, referring to the following table for descriptions and references for completing the subsequent Graph Wizard pages for that graph type.
Option
Description
The number of records grouped by a data field
Graphs a count of the records in a table in relation to the values for another data field. You select the table for which to count or aggregate records. Then, for the x-axis values, you select the table and data field by which to group records. For more information, see Generating a FRACAS Number of Records Grouped by a Data Field Graph.
The number of records versus time
Graphs a count of the records in a table in relation to time. You select the table for which to count or aggregate records. Then, for the x-axis values, you specify the time interval. For more information, see Generating a FRACAS Number of Records Versus Time Graph.
The value stored in a data field for each record
Graphs the data value for a data field for each table record. You select the data field for which to graph values and then indicate the field to use for displaying the x-axis labels for the value graph. For more information, see Generating a FRACAS Data Value Per Record Graph.
The results of a calculation by System Tree Item (uses last calculation result)
Graphs the results of a FRACAS calculation for each item in the System Tree Items table. You select the result for which to graph values and then indicate whether you want to graph results for all system tree items or only for items matching a selected filter. For more information, see Generating a FRACAS Calculation Results by System Tree Item Graph.
*
The label for this option depends on the singular name specified for the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
The results of a calculation over time
Graphs the results of a FRACAS calculation over a specified time interval. You select the result for which to graph values and then specify the time interval. For more information, see Generating a FRACAS Calculation Results Over Time Graph.
Advanced graph (minimal wizard interface)
Provides for generating an advanced graph. Because of the many possibilities for generating advanced graphs, the Graph Wizard interface is minimal. For more information, see Generating an Advanced FRACAS Graph
Once the pages of the Graph Wizard are completed, the Select Configuration window opens if more than one system tree configuration exists in the System file. The active configuration is the default. After you select the configuration you want to use for the graph and click OK, the graph is generated.
