Generating a FRACAS Calculation Results Over Time Graph
When The results of a calculation over time is selected on the FRACAS Graph Type page of the Graph Wizard, you can graph the results for a FRACAS calculation over time.
*
Several page names and options for this graph type depend on the singular and plural names specified for the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
1. Start the Graph Wizard and complete the first few pages as described in Generating a FRACAS Graph.
2. On the FRACAS Graph Type page, select The results of a calculation over time and click Next. The Select Calculation page appears. Data fields that store FRACAS calculation results are available for selection.
3. For Data field, select the field for the calculation results to graph. For descriptions, see FRACAS System-Level Calculation Results.
4. Click Next. The Filter Data page appears.
5. If you want to apply a filter, you can select from all available filters and/or select Current branch to graph results for only those items in the active system tree branch. You can use the Current branch checkbox alone or in conjunction with a filter.
6. Click Next. The System Tree Item Level page appears.
7. Select the option for indicating how many levels deep to calculate:
Ignore System Tree Items that have no failures. When selected (default), all system tree items with zero failures are ignored when graph calculations run.
Calculate results for the System Tree Items with no failures using the following confidence level. When selected, the chi-square value is computed using two degrees of freedom so that results for system tree items with no failures can be calculated when graph calculations run. Below this option, you specify the confidence level to use in these calculations for Confidence level. The default is 75. You can enter any integer between 1 and 100.
8. Click Next. The Operational Time Options page appears.
9. Select the option for indicating how to calculate operational time:
Use FRACAS Operating Time records to calculate operational time. When selected (default), FRACAS Operating Time records are used to calculate operational time. For more information, see FRACAS Operating Times Table. You must then select a checkbox to indicate how to use these records. If End date is blank, use today’s date is selected (default), the date you are calculating is used for records with no entered end dates If Multiply operating time by the Configuration quantity is selected, the operational time in the Operating Times table is multiplied by the configuration quantity
Assume my system operates continuously. When selected, all operating time records are ignored. The system is assumed to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
10. Click Next. The Select Date Fields page appears. For information about completing it and subsequent pages, see Specifying a Time Interval.
