Create File Window
The Create File window provides for creating a new file. The types of files that you can create are limited to those for the modules in use. You can use the Module Selections toolbar to make changes to your selections. For more information, see Module Selections Toolbar.
The look of the Create File window varies slightly based on the type of file being created. The following table describes the options in the Create File window.
Option
Description
Project
The Project in which to create a file. If files are open, Project is display-only because the open Project is the default and cannot be changed. If no files are open, Project is available. While the default is the last Project that was open, you can select any Project to which you have permissions. When a Team Project is selected, a browse button appears to the right of Project. You use this button to navigate to a different directory. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
File type
The type of file to create. If you opened the Create File window by selecting File > New and submenu commands, the file type you select is the default. The types of support files that you can create are limited to those for the modules in use. When creating files in an Enterprise Project, the types of files you can create also depend on permissions assigned to you by your system administrator. For more information, see File Types.
