Creating a File Using a New Command
You can use New commands to create a file. In the Enterprise Edition, the ability to create a file depends on your permissions. All permissions are set by your system administrator.

If the file to create is a System file, you should license all modules you want to include in this file prior to beginning the creation process. For more information, see Changing the Modules Licensed for a Session.
1. Do one of the following to open the Create File window:
On the standard toolbar, click New.
Select File > New and the appropriate submenu command(s).
2. Complete this window. For more information, see Create File Window.
3. When finished, click OK. Generally, this creates and opens the file. However, for a singular support, Table Format, Form Design, or Report Design file, you must complete an additional window. For more information, see:
*
In the Options window, General > List file types on New and Open submenus controls whether submenus for the Open command are shown. When this checkbox is selected (default), submenu commands are shown. When this checkbox is cleared, submenu commands are not shown. For more information, see General User Options.
