Report Type Selection
A Report Design file defines the format and layout for a report. When you create a Report Design file, the Create Report - Select Report Type window opens, displaying an hierarchical tree structure of the tables for all modules in use. Report types for the System file precede those for support files. In this window, you select the type of report to create and click OK.
An empty Report Design file opens in the Report Designer. In the title bar, the * that follows the report name indicates that the report has not yet been saved. After inserting report objects in this file, you save it. For more information, see Report Design Files.
