Changing the Modules Licensed for a Session
All modules included in your PTC license are licensed the first time you start the Team Edition. In the Enterprise Edition, only the modules to which your group has acquirement rights are licensed. If you try to license a module to which you do not have acquirement rights, this module is not licensed. If you cannot acquire licenses for any of the modules you selected, an error message appears, indicating this.
By not licensing a module that you do not intend to use, you leave the license available to another user. This is why your system administrator might choose to enable the global option forcing you to select the modules you want to license during login.

You cannot open the Change Licensed Modules window from the Tryout version or when a Tryout Project is open. For more information, see Tryout Version and Mode.
1. Close any open files by selecting File > Close. You can only change the modules licensed when no files are open.
2. From the Start page, select File > Change Licensed Modules. The Change Licensed Modules window opens.
A green checkmark appears to the left of modules that are licensed.
The Module column lists all modules included in your PTC license. If your license includes the Prediction module, all reliability prediction calculation models included in your license are also listed.
The Available column indicates whether a license is available. When Yes is shown, you can license the module. When No is shown, you cannot license the module, perhaps because all available licenses are in use. In the Enterprise Edition, it is also possible that your user group does not have license acquirement rights for this module.
The In Use column indicates whether you are currently using a license. When Yes is shown, you are using a license. When No is shown, you are not using a license.
3. Select the modules that you want to license. Selecting the checkbox switches between clearing and selecting the module.
You can select a module only if a license is available for it, which means Yes must be shown in its Available column.
You can click Select All or Clear All to select or clear all modules and then customize your selections from there.
If you want to update the license information, you click Refresh.
4. When finished, click OK.
Your selections are saved and used as the defaults for the next time that you start Windchill Risk and Reliability.

In the Enterprise Edition, system administrators can reserve licenses for specified users so that modules in the desktop application are always available for their use. License reservations are not set up in Windchill Risk and Reliability but rather in the Flexnet option file for your PTC license. For more information, see License Reservations.
