Object Overview
Before working withWindchill objects, it is important to understand the following concepts:
• Different object types, such as parts and documents, manage the data stored in the
Windchill system. For descriptions of the object types, see
Object Types.
• Each object type has unique object attributes, such a name and number. For descriptions of these attributes, see
Object Attributes.
• Many objects types can change over time. These changes are represented by the object version. For more information on versions, revisions, and iterations, see
Object Versions.
• Parts and documents can be related to one another in different ways. For information on relationships, see
Object Relationships.
• Object information, such as attributes, actions, and relationships is available from the object information page. For more information, see
Information Pages.
