Excluding Appointments and Events From Travel Time Calculation
When Appointments and Events do not require technicians to travel to specific physical locations, you can configure the Ignore Travel Time Calculation Rules for Appointments and Ignore Travel Time Calculation Rules for Events to exclude those items from travel time calculation.
To exclude Appointments and Events from travel time calculation:
1. To exclude
Appointments from travel time calculation, in
Max Designer, on the
Administrator (
) launchpad menu, click
Settings, and then in the list view, click one of the following:
◦ Ignore Travel Time Calculation Rules for Appointments
◦ Ignore Travel Time Calculation Rules for Events
2. On the record page, in the Default Value field, specify rules, for example:
◦ To exclude Appointments related to a Job whose type is Field Service:
svmx_related_to.svmx_type='Field Service'
◦ To exclude Events whose type is Meeting:
svmx_type='Meeting'
3. In the top left corner, click
Save and Close (
), and then if needed, repeat the previous steps to configure the other setting.
