Enabling Automatic Appointment and Event Adjustment by Travel Times
Travel Time to Location field values are automatically generated when dispatchers assign Jobs to Resources, create Events, or reschedule or reassign Appointments and Events. In some cases, Travel Time to Location values can conflict with scheduled times of previous Appointments or Events within the same work shift. To prevent this scenario, you can enable the Auto Adjust Appointment/Event by Travel Time on Drag setting to automatically adjust Appointment or Event start times to avoid scheduling conflicts. This setting is disabled by default.

In the Dispatch Job and Create Event dialog boxes, valid user-specified Travel Time to Location field values are used and retained when start times are adjusted.

Automatic Appointment and Event start time adjustment is not supported for the following modes and use cases:

When this setting is enabled, and dispatchers drag and drop Appointments and Events on the Scheduler Calendar, automatic start time adjustment is triggered based on the following prioritizedrules:
1. Automatic adjustment is not applied when current modes and use cases are not supported.
2. Automatic adjustment is not applied when no previous Appointments or Events are scheduled within the same work shift.
3. Automatic adjustment is not applied when there are no conflicts between Travel Time to Location field values of new or updated Appointments or Events and scheduled times of previous Appointments or Events within the same work shift.
4. Automatic adjustment is not applied when start times of current Appointments or Events are in the past.
5. Travel Time to Location field values of current Appointments or Events are recalculated by using end times of previous Appointments or Events as departure times.
6. Start times of current Appointments or Events are adjusted to end times of previous Appointments or Events plus recalculated Travel Time to Location values.
7. When adjusted start times fall within nonworking hours, automatic adjustment is removed.
8. When adjusted start times fall within the next work shift, automatic adjustment is removed.
To enable automatic Appointment and Event adjustment by travel times:
