Deactivating Dispatcher Access Control for the ServiceMax Optimization Setting Policy
Service Board ships with one default schedule optimization policy, ServiceMax Optimization Setting. Users who have the Dispatcher role are granted access control to this policy by default by Permission records linked to the role definition. You can remove dispatcher access control by deactivating the Permission records associated with this optimization policy if needed.
*
For custom optimization policies that you configure and set as defaults, use the Share option to add or remove user, group, and role access. To use the ServiceMax Optimization Setting policy, you can reactivate previously deactivated permissions or use the Share option to control access. If you do not intend to use ServiceMax Optimization Setting, you can deactivate the policy itself.
To deactivate dispatcher access control for the ServiceMax Optimization Setting policy:
1. In Max Designer, on the Developer Tools () launchpad menu, click Object Designer, and then in the left pane, search for and click Optimization Setting.
2. Click Records, and then in the list view, click ServiceMax Optimization Setting.
3. On the record page, on the Relations tab, in the list view, click Permissions, and then in the Related Permissions via Related To Field list, click the permission record that has Dispatcher in its Actor column.
4. On the Permission record page, on the System Info tab, in the Record area, clear the Active check box, and then in the top left corner, click Save and Close().
