Configuring Salesforce Identity Verification for Integration User Accounts
Either of the following approaches can be implemented to ensure that Salesforce integration users can successfully access Salesforce from Service Board:
You can add the fixed NAT Gateway IPs for Service Board to Network Access, which causes Salesforce to recognizes all Service Board requests originating from trusted IP addresses. With this method, identity verification is not triggered for Salesforce integration users. To use this approach, complete step 1 of the following procedure, and ignore the remaining steps.
In cases where corporate security policies prohibit the use of NAT Gateway IP addresses, you can use a security token. To use this approach, skip step 1 of the following procedure, and complete steps 2 through 6.
*
Both of these approaches are supported for two-factor authentication only in cases where Two-Factor Authentication for User Interface Logins setting is enabled. If the Two-Factor Authentication for API Logins setting is enabled, two-factor authentication for Salesforce integration users is not supported.
To configure Salesforce identity verification for integration user accounts:
1. If your corporate security policies permit the use of NAT Gateway IP addresses, follow the steps in Set Trusted IP Ranges for Your Organization on the Salesforce Help site to add the following fixed IPs for the *.eu environment.
99.80.189.33
34.248.167.184
34.252.223.229
*
If you cannot use NAT Gateway IP addresses, skip this step and start with step 2.
2. If your corporate security policies prohibit the use of NAT Gateway IP addresses, to use a security token, log into Salesforce with integration user credentials, and then in the personal settings for the account, use Quick Find to navigate to Reset My Security Token.
3. Click Reset Security Token, and then log into the email account associated with the integration user account and retrieve the security token.
4. In Max Admin, on the System Management () launchpad menu, click System Settings, and then in the list, open the currently active System Settings record.
5. On the record page, on the Authentication tab, in the Salesforce Integration area, append the security token to the end of the Salesforce Login Password value. For example, if the password is a1b2c3 and the security token is x99y00, the combined value becomes a1b2c3x99y00.
6. In the top left corner, click Save and Close (), and then on the Development Actions () launchpad menu, click Synchronize.
