Configuring Real-Time Sync for the Salesforce Event Object Subject Field
In ServiceMax Core 19.2, 19.3. and 20.1, the Subject field in the Salesforce Event object is not included in the associated standard Process Builder. This means that across all versions of Service Board that run under these ServiceMax Core versions, when Event records are created in Service Board and synched to Salesforce, updates to the Subject field in the Salesforce Event record are not synched back to Service Board. This limitation cannot be addressed with a patch release, as Salesforce does not allow metadata modifications in patch orgs, and is planned for resolution in ServiceMax Core 20.2. For earlier release versions, you can manually configure this behavior.
To configure real-time sync for the Salesforce Event object Subject field:
1. In Salesforce, on the Process Builders page, clone Notify Service Board for Event.
2. In the newly cloned Process Builder, in the Is Field Changed action group, click the decision box, and then in the right pane, at the bottom of the Define Criteria for this Action Group list, click Add Row.
3. Add the following criteria:
Column | Value |
---|
Field | [Event].Subject |
Operator | Is Changed |
Type | Boolean |
Value | True |
4. Save and activate the Process Builder.
