Configuring Optimized Rescheduling
By default, Optimized Rescheduling is disabled. To make this functionality available to dispatchers, you configure two Setting records, Display Lock Appointment Menu and Maximum Jobs Per Schedule Proposal (Including Dependent Jobs and Optimized Rescheduling) and update the configured Lock Appointment Schedule field value in Optimization Setting records.
You enable the Display Lock Appointment Menu setting to allow dispatchers to identify which Appointments are related to locked Jobs. When this setting is enabled, both the Lock Appointment Schedule and Unlock Appointment Schedule fields are enabled in the Edit Job dialog box, and both the Lock in Place and Lock to Arrival Window options cause a lock icon to appear on related Appointments.
You configure the total number of Jobs to be scheduled or rescheduled in the Maximum Jobs Per Schedule Proposal (Including Dependent Jobs and Optimized Rescheduling) setting. When this limit is exceeded, validation errors are triggered and users receive push notifications.
*
Optimized Rescheduling is not supported for Multiple-Appointment Jobs, Multiple-Resource Jobs, Dependent Jobs, and Jobs related to Project Tasks. Any unsupported Jobs selected for Schedule Proposals are filtered out of the payload before data is sent to the optimization engine, and warning notifications show the names of the Jobs that are excluded from the results.
