About User Preferences
Max stores user-level settings, such as language and time zone defaults or shifts and shift plans, as User Preference records. These records are automatically generated when user accounts are created. By default, the System Settings record includes the same settings, which apply globally to all users.
When default settings for specific users are modified in their User Preference records, global defaults from System Settings records are overwritten. To personalize the user experience, you can, for example, configure time zone settings for technicians located in different regions than that of the main office, or add photos or avatars that appear next to user names in list views.
