Working with Dependency Scheduling
Dependency scheduling enables you to schedule multiple dependent work orders. You can create work orders dependent on each other in different ways to form a dependency connection between them. Schedule Optimization honors the correlation between the dependent work orders in a group while scheduling.
The following are the supported dependencies between work orders:
Time dependency groups
Resource dependency groups
To enable dependency scheduling, set the configuration setting SET014 to True.
*
If SET014 is set to False in your org, creating work order dependency groups is not supported. An error message is displayed when you try to create a dependency group.
For the list of limitations in dependency scheduling if you are using Real-Time Optimization, see Real-Time Optimization Known Issues.
The work order dependency feature supports dependency use cases implemented by the packaged logic. SFM support is provided to create the dependency record in the manner required by the internal processing logic.
