Viewing the Propose Time Page
Use the Propose Time page to view available arrival windows and book a suitable time slot for a work order based on technician availability and the dispatch horizon.
The Propose Time page helps you view and select available arrival windows for a work order.It displays time slots for active technicians in the selected territory based on the dispatch horizon.The page considers technician working hours,availability,service duration,and travel time.You can review recommended slots,filter time windows,adjust the date range,and book a suitable slot.
To view the page:
1. Open the work order for which you want to view the Propose Time.
2. Launch the Propose Time SFM Wizard. The Propose Time page is displayed. The available arrival windows for the active technicians in the territory are displayed for the dispatch horizon with the following information:
Fields
Description
Work Order Number
Displays the work order on which Propose Time is executed.
Recommended
The recommended slots appear at the top of the table. These recommended slots are suggested based on route suitability and cost efficiency. Recommended slots are optimal based on the technician's calendar.

You can also sort the table by date.
Date
Displays the technician’s available dates based on defined working hours. Dates are shown only when the technician has available capacity.
Time
Displays time based on the work order service duration and drive time.

Time value is displayed based on Dispatch process associated territory time zone
Technician
Displays all the active technicians based on technician availability and technician associated to the work order defined territory against each slot.
Time Windows
Displays all the time windows for each slot defined in the specific appointment type on that work order. For information about appointment type, see Managing Appointment Types.

This column is hidden when no appointment type is specified on the work order.
A maximum of 40 characters is supported. When the character limit exceeds, an ellipsis (...) is displayed for the remaining information.
Time Windows (Filter)
A dropdown menu to filter and display all the time windows defined in the specific appointment type on that work order. The default value is None which displays all the slots.

This filter is disabled when no appointment type is defined on the work order.
Show Poor Slots
Poor slots are not displayed by default. Click Show Poor Slots to view them. You can view poor slots but cannot book them. If you attempt to book a poor slot, an alert message is displayed to inform you that booking is not allowed because the slot is poor. You can only access the information on poor slots for reference.

The Show Poor Slots checkbox is enabled only when you have set the SET013 setting to True.
Start Date
End Date
By default, the Start Date and End Date match the dispatch horizon start and end dates. If the horizon extends beyond 15 days, the date pickers show only the first 15 working days, considering holidays and non‑working hours. You can manually update the date range to include other dates within the dispatch horizon and click Run to view available slots.

Using Propose Time, slots can be retrieved for a maximum of 15 working days. Dates outside the horizon appear unavailable (grayed out) in the date picker.
If the Preferred Start Time (PST) and Preferred End Time (PET) values are included in the work order, the available time slots are displayed by default based on the PST/PET values when the Propose Time SFM is initiated. However, you can change the date range as needed.
Examples:
1. Business hours include holidays and non‑working days
Horizon: 10 days
Non‑working days: Saturday, Sunday
Holiday: 24 March 2026
Horizon start: 19 March 2026
On launching Propose Time page, dates are calculated considering holidays and non‑working days.
Start Date: 19 March 2026, End Date: 2 April 2026
2. Business hours have no holidays or non‑working days
Horizon: 10 days
Horizon start: 19 March 2026
On launching Propose Time page, dates are displayed directly based on the horizon as there are no holidays and non-working hours.
Start Date: 19 March 2026, End Date: 28 March 2026
3. Horizon is greater than 15 days
Horizon: 30 days (19 March 2026 to 29 April 2026, considering non‑working days)
Non‑working days: Saturday, Sunday
Horizon start: 19 March 2026
On launching Propose Time page, only the first 15 working days are shown.
Start Date: 19 March 2026, End Date: 8 April 2026
Slots for the remaining horizon (9 April 2026 to 29 April 2026) can be viewed by manually selecting dates using the date pickers.
Run
Propose Time page is refreshed and Propose Time slot available at that time is displayed
Book
Book a selected single Propose Time slot.
