Consolidated validation error messages for SFM child lines
For SFM child lines in Grid view, one error message is displayed per validation rule when multiple fields participate in the rule. All participating fields are listed after the message. Previously, the same error message was displayed against each participating field, which created the impression of multiple errors and caused user confusion. For more information, see Real-Time Data Validation Setting Behavior for Errors.
Retained user preferences after clearing ServiceMax cache
Clearing the ServiceMax cache no longer removes user saved SFM preferences, such as resized columns, collapsed sections, column freeze, and display settings. A new option is available under Application Settings (gear icon) that allows users to reset their preferences manually. This approach minimizes the effort required to reconfigure SFM preferences after each Clear ServiceMax Cache action. For more information, see Clearing ServiceMax Cache.
Clear ServiceMax Cache removed from Form button group
The Clear ServiceMax Cache option has been removed from the form button group and is now available under the Application Settings menu in the top-right corner of the SFM form. This change differentiates form-level actions from application-level actions. For more information, see Screen Buttons.
New Application Settings action group in SFM Web Delivery
Application Settings is a new action group in SFM web delivery. The Application Settings (gear icon) action group is available in the top-right corner of the SFM form in the web delivery UI. All actions that are not form-specific are moved under this group, including Clear ServiceMax Cache, Reset My Preferences, Set Display Density, and Launch SFM Designer.
Reset My Preferences is a new action that resets user preferences across all SFMs launched from web delivery. Earlier, this action was part of Clear ServiceMax Cache. For more information, see Resetting User Preferences.
*
User changes made after upgrade are retained and can be managed using Reset My Preferences. It is recommended to perform Clear ServiceMax Cache once after upgrade.
Confirmation dialog for Delete Report on output documents
The Delete Report option on output documents generated from a Work Order now displays a confirmation dialog before proceeding with deletion. Previously, clicking Delete Report immediately removed the file without confirmation, which could lead to accidental deletion. For more information, see Generating Report.
*
If the global setting GBL037 (Enable Salesforce File) is set to True, Output Documents are stored as Salesforce Files with multiple versions. Clicking Delete Report removes all versions of the file generated by the Output Document process. To avoid deleting all versions, open the Files section of the record, click the file, and delete only the version you want to remove.
