Service Flow Automation
Service Flow Automation (SFA) helps in configuring different types of notifications such as Push notifications, Local notifications, and SMS notifications when certain events occur. Notifications that can be sent to the mobile device can be personalized and can contain very specific information about a Work Order. This helps to capture the technician's attention on any important events and prompt them to act.
SFA can be used to configure the following notifications:
Push Notification: These are the notifications sent to the ServiceMax Go app when a record is created or updated on Salesforce. For example, Notification sent for Work Order Schedule time change or when an event is assigned to the technician. You can also configure action buttons and their respective deep link in Push Notification. Technicians can click on the interactive buttons below the notification message and open the configured deep link. Push notifications require an internet connection.
Local Notification: These are notifications displayed on the ServiceMax Go app based on geofences. For example, notifications can be displayed to the technician when he arrives or leaves the Work order location. You can also configure action buttons and their respective deep link in Local Notification. Technicians can click on the interactive buttons below the notification message and open the configured deep link. Local notifications are local to the mobile app and do not need an internet connection.
SMS Notification: These are notifications that can be sent to the customers or Service Manager or Technicians' phone number when a record is created/updated on Salesforce or when the technician arrives or leaves the Work location. You can configure multiple phone numbers to send an SMS notification.
