Recommendations for Price Calculation
The following are some of the recommendations and key points that must be considered when initiating Price Calculation.
Key Point to Remember when the Device has Online Connectivity
• When the device has online connectivity, Price Calculation always retrieves the latest pricing related data for the current Work Order using an online call.
Key Points to Remember when the Device is Offline
• For Price Calculation to work when the device is offline, additional objects must be downloaded during initial sync so that the necessary data is available at the time of execution. Download Criteria can be modified by navigating to ServiceMax Setup > Mobile > Mobile Configuration > Edit Profile > Download Criteria tab. Download Criteria for the relevant profile(s) must contain the following objects:
◦ Product
◦ Price Book
◦ Service Pricebook
• ServiceMax Go does not download pricing updates during incremental data sync when compared to FSA and Classic apps.
◦ If entitlement details are changed or not available after initial sync is performed, then the details are not available when the device is offline.
◦ The entitlement details can be contract details, applicable price book details, and so on. In such cases, the technician can prepare the Work Order ahead of time by retrieving the latest pricing data and entitlement details. For more information see,

◦ If a new part is added to a Work Order, and it is downloaded through incremental sync (not initial sync), then the price calculation returns 0 for that line in offline mode.
