Mobile Activity Space
Mobile Activity Space (MAS) is an extensibility feature of the ServiceMax Go app. The following list explains its capabilities.
Enables a web developer to create a package with HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS to create a unique user experience for a specific use case.
Enables you to use common web development techniques.
Allows you to access the local device properties, ServiceMax data, and SFM transactions.
Allows the customers and partners to use standard web technologies to build richer UX to simplify a business process or to reduce the number of taps required to complete a process.
Use Cases
The following list represents sample Activity Spaces:
Bar Code generator: You can use data from an Install Base Object or a Work Order in progress to create a QR Code or Bar Code for printing to a BT Label Printer.
Image Map: Present an equipment schematic with direct links to SFM processes to capture data or complete a checklist.
Getting Started
To get started with MAS, you must create an activity space package, zip it, and then upload it to the Custom Action Configuration page. As a developer or admin, you can follow the steps to configure the activity space package and enable it for technicians in the Go app.
Prerequisites
Good understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Good knowledge of ServiceMax Admin, Data Model, and Sync Gateway architecture. For more information, refer to Go App Architecture.
