Work Plan Pricing Visibility in Entitlements
The Work Plan Price field displays the price book that determines labor pricing for a work plan on Service Contract and Product Warranty entitlement records.
The Work Plan Price field appears on Service Contract and Product Warranty entitlement records. It is available only for Work Plan entitlement details.
Labor pricing for work plans is defined through price books that can exist at different levels: the service contract, the work order, or the organization default. Without the Work Plan Price field, this pricing information is not visible from the entitlement interface and requires navigating to price book records separately.
Selecting the Work Plan Price icon on a Work Plan entitlement line opens the Work Plan Labor Price window. The window displays:
The price book used for the work plan
The source of the price book in the pricing hierarchy
All active price book entries for the work plan, including entries for multiple currencies and pricing units
Administrators can add or remove the Work Plan Price field by configuring the displayed fields for Service Contracts and Product Warranties. For more information, see Managing Display Fields for Service Contracts and Warranties.
Price Resolution Logic
Work plan pricing is determined by evaluating price books in a defined order. The first price book that contains an active entry for the work plan is selected.
For Service Contract entitlements, price books are evaluated in this order:
1. Service Contract Price Book
2. Work Order Price Book
3. Org Default Usage Price Book
For Product Warranty entitlements, price books are evaluated in this order:
1. Work Order Price Book
2. Org Default Usage Price Book
Only active price books and active price book entries are considered. If no entry exists for the work plan in any price book, the Work Plan Labor Price window displays the message "This work plan has no price book entries."

For organizations without multi-currency enabled, the org's default currency is displayed.
Use Cases
Reviewing work plan labor rates and price book source during entitlement
Role: CSR
A CSR at Iniscope International is preparing a quote for Life Line hospital for repair work on a Soniscape SSI 1000. Before sharing the approximate quote, the CSR needs to confirm the labor price and coverage percentage that apply under Life Line's Platinum Service Contract. In the interactive entitlement screen for Life Line's Platinum Service Contract, the CSR reads the labor coverage percentage, then selects the Work Plan Price icon and reviews the price book source and the active labor rate entries for the work plan to calculate the approximate labor price, all without leaving the entitlement view or opening separate price book records.
