Skill Match Rules
For qualifying work orders, the list of required and optional skills can be configured, for use when searching for technicians with the list of matching skills to service the work orders. These skills are defined using
Skill Match Rules. These are configured to be applied on qualifying work orders when they are created/updated, if not applied already. For mandatory skills, the minimum skill level required can be configured.
As an example, you can configure a Skill Match Rule as follows, to find the skills required for a work order for replacing a network card in a laptop and configuring it:
• How to identify qualifying work orders: Work Order’s Product Equals Laptop AND Purpose Of Visit Equals Network Card Replacement
• How to configure required skills:
◦ Skill – Network Card Replacement; Required – True (checked); Level – 8.
◦ Skill – Laptop General Troubleshooting; Required – False (unchecked); Level – N/A.
