Semi-Automatic Dispatch
The semi-automatic or immediate dispatch method involves assigning work orders to dispatchers or queues based on predefined criteria, from where manual scheduling to specific technicians is done. This is achieved through simple assignment rules.
The immediate dispatch process uses simple assignment rules based on which work orders are assigned directly.

Immediate dispatch does not use the Schedule Optimization capability for scheduling.

To create an immediate dispatch process:
1. Navigate to ServiceMax Setup > Scheduling & Optimization > Dispatch Processes. The Dispatch Processes list view screen is displayed.
2. Click New Process.
3. Provide the required information in the General Information tab.
4. Click the Assignment Rules tab.
5. Provide the required information in the Assignment Rules tab.
6. Click Save.
