You can click Switch to advanced mode to display events in advanced mode. The state of Advanced or Basic mode is persisted when the New Event or the Edit Event window is launched and the new or updated event is scheduled. The Event window opens in basic mode on first time launch of the event window. On second and subsequent launch of the event window, it opens in basic or advanced mode as per the previous selection done during the creation or edit of any Work Order event.
