Line Level Entitlement
Apply contract, warranty, and coverage entitlements to each Products Serviced (Work Detail) line on a Work Order so that mixed-coverage orders are billed accurately and customers are entitled automatically when they log cases from the ServiceMax customer portal.
A single Work Order often covers multiple products, and each product can carry its own contract, warranty, or coverage terms. Line-level entitlement matters because applying one header-level decision to a mixed-coverage order produces the wrong result for at least one line. Entitling each Products Serviced line (also known as a Work Detail line) individually lets the right contract, warranty, or coverage drive billing for that specific product. Customers logging cases from the ServiceMax customer portal are entitled automatically, which is one of the most significant benefits of deploying entitlement rules.
Product Service lines also support included services from Service Contracts. During interactive entitlement, the entitlement interface displays available included services for each PS line, and pricing calculations on those lines reflect the entitled service assignment. For more information, see
