Create Child Installed Product

This SFM transaction is used to create a child installed product for a parent or top-level installed product. Most information is automatically copied from the parent to the child.

If the global setting SET003 under Installed Product module, Create child installed product submodule is set to True (default value), Serial Number field is considered mandatory. Else, it can be left blank.

Note: This has Before Save/Insert web service, to validate if target Product field value is not the same as the parent IB's Product and to auto-populate the Name field of target record with the Serial/Lot Number field value.

The field map used in this transaction has additional mapping for Top Level field.
