Executing Timesheet Engine Using Run Now
You can create the Timesheet Daily Summary and Time Entry records immediately when required for a specific configuration using the Run Now option. This allows you to create records without having to wait for the scheduled Timesheet run. You can initiate the immediate execution of the Timesheet engine using the Run Now option on the Auto-fill tab for the Timesheet.
*
When the time entry records are created using the Run Now option, the batching is done based on the value of the global setting SET001 (Module: Timesheets; Submodule: Timesheet Engine).
To use the Run Now option in the Autofill tab:
1. Go to ServiceMax Setup > Service Organization > Timesheet. The Timesheet list view is displayed.
2. Open an existing Timesheet Configuration Template. The Template Details page is displayed.
3. Go to the Autofill tab.
4. Click Run Now to create timesheet daily summary and timesheet entry records.
*
The Time Entry records are created only if the Status toggle button is enabled and set to Active.
Use Case
Running the Timesheet Engine On Demand at Payroll Cutoff
Role: Administrator
An administrator at Iniscope International runs the Timesheet engine on demand on the last Friday of the month so service technicians who repair Soniscape SSI 1000 ultrasound machines at hospitals receive finalized time entries before payroll closes. The administrator opens the Timesheet configuration template, switches to the Autofill tab, and triggers Run Now instead of waiting for the nightly schedule. This matters because payroll administrators get complete data on time, technicians get accurate paychecks, and finance teams close the period without manual validation.
