Dispatch Console Field Updates
When creating or editing events in Dispatch Console, up to 10 Work Order or Event fields can be displayed in the event create or edit screen. These are updated in addition to the standard Event fields displayed.
Configuring DC Field Updates configuration screen is used to configure these fields. Standard Event fields are not available for configuration. Custom Event fields are listed only if the custom field of the same Label, API Name, and Type exists in both Salesforce Event object and ServiceMax Event object. When creating or editing a non-Work Order event in Dispatch Console, only the event fields configured if any are displayed, and Work Order fields are skipped.
Configuring Dependent Picklist Fields in the Field Updates Tab
You can configure and control the display of dependent picklist fields in the Field Updates tab.
To configure the display of dependent picklist fields, set the
SET00238 (Module: Dispatch Console > Submodule: Dispatch Console Flex) custom configuration setting to True.
When dependent picklist fields display is enabled in the Field Updates tab, the dependent picklist fields are displayed next to the controlling picklist with an arrow next to it.
In the Manage Multiple Assignments window, dependent picklist fields are displayed below the controlling picklist with an arrow below it.

• If both controlling and dependent picklist fields are configured in Field Updates, the fields behave as independent fields even if the SET00238 setting value is set to True.
• When SET00238 is set to True and controlling picklist field is configured in Field Updates, the controlling picklist field along with dependent picklist is displayed as the first field. The same behavior is applicable if more than one controlling picklist fields are configured in Field Updates.

ServiceMax recommends that you configure only the controlling (parent) picklist field in Field Updates. This enables you to view the dependent picklist field by default in the Dispatch Console UI.
