Alias
It is a user-friendly, business-oriented, and context-specific name for a target object, header or child. This is required when the same child object is added multiple times in an SFM transaction. For example, when Work Details object is added once each for grouping Parts, Labor, Expense, and Travel records in different tabs, aliases come in handy to clarify the context.
By default, alias field in the first tab of SFM Designer is populated with the object's (or related list's) label, with running number suffixed when the same object is added multiple times.
