Reviewing Generated Agent Skills Plan
An agent skills plan is automatically generated when you create a new agent skill or edit an existing one. The plan outlines the step-by-step logic that runs during execution. Generating a skill plan helps translate calculation or query requirements into deterministic logic that ServiceMax AI can consistently reuse.
Prerequisites
Before generating agent skills plan ensure the following:
Agent skills are installed and configured.
The calculation or query requirement is clearly defined.
To generate an agent skill plan, perform the following steps.
2. On the sidebar, select Service Insights > Manage Agent Skills.
The Agent Skills page lists all available agent skills.

3. Select the agent skill you want to edit.
4. Update the logic, inputs, or outputs as needed.
5. Click Save and Generate Plan. A notification confirms that the plan is being generated.

To change the instructions, while the plan is generating, select Stop Generating Plan and confirm the action. You can also delete the draft by selecting Delete Draft and then update the skill instructions later.

6. Review the generated skill plan.

To view the logic for a specific step, select that step to open Step Details.

7. Use the toolbar buttons to adjust how the skill plan displays:

Zoom In
Enlarges the skill plan logic in the current pane.
Zoom Out
Reduces the skill plan logic in the current pane.
Fit to Width
Fits the skill plan logic to the width of the pane.
Open in New Window
Opens the skill plan logic in a separate window.
8. Select Approve Skill to approve the draft skill plan.

To update the logic, select the Regenerate Skill Plan. To delete the existing draft, select Delete Draft. For more information, see Deleting Agent Skills.
After approval, the agent skills plan is saved and can be used in AI actions. The plan ensures reliable, repeatable execution for the defined requirement. For more information, see Using Agent Skills.
