Maps to capability (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Maps To Capability:
• From a Function, Project Activity, Operational Activity or Standard Operational Activity: right-click the mapping element, point to Links, point to Capability, and then click Mapped Capability. From the Links Editor, select the Capability elements that are mapped to.
• From an NPV-2 Project Activity Hierarchy: click the Maps To Capability toolbar button, click the mapping Project Activity, and then click the Capability that is mapped to.
• From an NOV-5 Operational Activity Hierarchy: click the Maps To Capability toolbar button, click the mapping Operational Activity or Standard Operational Activity, and then click the Capability that is mapped to.
• From an NCV-6 Operational Activity to Capability Mapping: click the Maps To Capability toolbar button, click the mapping Function, Operational Activity, Standard Operational Activity or Project Activity, and then click the Capability that is mapped to.
• From an NSV-4 Functionality Hierarchy: click the Maps To Capability toolbar button, click the mapping Function, and then click the Capability that is mapped to.
• From a Capability: right-click the Project Activity, point to Links, point to Capability, and then click Mapped Activity. From the Links Editor, select the Function, Project Activity, Operational Activity or Standard Operational Activity elements that map to the Capability.
Appearance
When shown on an NPV-2 Project Activity Hierarchy, NOV-5 Operational Activity Hierarchy, NCV-6 Operational Activity to Capability Mapping or NSV-4 Functionality Hierarchy, a Maps To Capability appears as follows:
