Exchange element (UPDM - NAF aliases)
To create an Exchange Element:
From an Architectural Description, Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model or Service Description: right on the element, point to New, point to NAF, point to All, and then click Exchange Element.
From an NOV-7 Information Model or NSV-11 System Data Model, click the Exchange Element toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram.
When shown on an NOV-7 Information Model or NSV-11 System Data Model, an Exchange Element appears as follows:

Used as a type for Resource Port elements.
Used as a conveyed classifier for Control and Operational Exchange elements.
