Customizing a Publisher style's title page (Publisher)
The titlepage.xml template defines the content and presentation of the first page of the generated Word document.
Important:
We recommend that you do not change the title page of the provided Publisher Styles, but instead create a new Publisher Style and make the changes to that.
If you use Word to change the XML template, perform a Save operation. If you perform a Save As operation, ensure that you choose Word 2003 XML as the format.
To change the title page in a Publisher style's Word template:
1. Locate the Word template you want to change:
a. The Publisher Style folders reside in subfolders of the following folder.
C:\ProgramData\PTC Integrity Modeler\Publisher\Stylesheets\DocumentGeneration\CustomDocBook
b. In the folder for the appropriate Publisher Style, locate the titlepage.xml file that resides in the following folder:
\<Publisher Style folder>\Word\Current
2. In Word, open the titlepage.xml file.
3. Change the content of the title page as appropriate:
Add new text and graphics as required.
The following Word fields are replaced with text when generated. You can move these fields to different places, change the format of their associated Word Styles, and delete them if they are not required; but you must not change the text of the field.
<Document Number Prefix>, <Document Number>, <Date.Prefix>, <Publish.Date> and <Copyright>
The following Word fields are replaced with text when Generated. You can move these fields to different places, change the format of their associated Word Styles, but you must not delete the entries or change the text of the field.
Untitled and subtitle.
The following entries are bookmarks that are replaced with text when Generated. You can change the format of their associated Word Styles. You cannot move a text and its bookmark as such, but you can delete the text and its bookmark, and then recreate the text and its bookmark in a different position.
<legalnoticepaceholder> (bookmark is named legalnoticepaceholder) and <addressplaceholder> (bookmark is named addressplaceholder).

Important: If you want to change the appearance of text, you must change the associated Word Style in both the titlepage.xml and wordml.template.xml template files.

4. Save the changes you have made to the Word template.
Important: If you are using Word, perform a Save operation. If you perform a Save As operation, ensure that you choose Word 2003 XML as the format.
After customizing the Word template you can reference it from a Document Definition.
