About Overrides
You can override some of the appearance characteristics by overriding them at the profile level or the figure level. The settings change according to the level of the override:
Profile level—Overrides the current profile only
Figure level—Overrides all profiles
For Schematic Figures
You can change the appearance characteristics defined in a standard for the connection style and background color:
Connection Style—Overrides the appearance of the connection for figures and profiles. See To Override a Connection Style for more information.
Background Color—Sets a new background color for the figure or the current profile. See To Set a Color Using the Choose Color Dialog Box for more information.
Overrides are listed in the Overrides pane in the upper data panel.
Use the Overrides pane to perform the following actions:
Filter —See To Filter Schematic Overrides.
Delete
For 3D Figures
You can change the following appearance characteristics defined in a standard for the figure (Figure tab):
Background color
Gradient
You can modify the appearance of one or more parts in the figure by adjusting the following attributes (Parts tab):
Phantom style —Toggle to apply a phantom display to a selected part. For more information, see About Phantom Parts.
Transparency—Sets the transparency of parts. For more information, see About Transparency.
Color—Sets a new color for the selected part.
Use the following functions for figures.
Treat as Solid—Designates non-solid parts as a solid geometry when sectioning.
Restore Style—Reverts to the display style of the selected parts. For more information, see To Restore a Style.
