About Figures
A Creo Illustrate C3DI file, or illustration can contain one or more figures.
Use a figure to display the sBOM with the appearance and settings of your choice.
All figures in a C3DI file use the same MCAD or Schematic data. However, the CAD data can come from multiple sources. A file can contain one or more of the following figures:
2D
3D
Schematic
*
A Creo Illustrate C3DI file that contains 2D figures can only be opened in Creo Illustrate full edition.
Figures saved in the file are listed in the Figures tab. To view the Figures list, select a view type from one of the following options:
Folder View
Dependency View
Gallery View
A figure is a view with a different set of properties. You can have views for 3D and 2D figures.
The Figure View can be set in 3D figures. This is the initial view that the end consumer of the published figure will see. This is also the view that will be used when publishing a 3D figure to 2D or raster formats. If no figure view is set, the current or last saved view will be used.
You can save 2D and 3D figures as individual files:
3D file (3D figures only)
2D vector file
Raster file
